Okay, so here is one of the reasons my blog has been put on the back burner: I launched a new business for furniture rentals and event styling called Blush Creek! I think it's fair to say it has taken up most of my free time and I couldn't be more excited to see where this new opportunity takes me. This has actually been on my mind for awhile, but in the last year other things like buying a home, moving, running my other business, and having a baby kind of took priority. Crazy I know. On the way home from a wedding about a month ago, I decided that if I was going to do this now was the time. I was ready to take a leap of faith. I understood and accepted the fact that there would be sacrifices, but it was worth it!
To explain more, Blush Creek is a boutique rental company that offers unique furniture pieces and styling services for special occasions such as a wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, birthday, company party, etc. If you've been following my blog than you know how much I love painting furniture! I've also always loved the design process behind special events and decided it made perfect sense to mash together my two passions and offer services to other people.
So, I've been working really hard on building our inventory, creating a website, researching advertising opportunities, ordering marketing materials, and everything else that comes with running a business. Today I'm sharing with you a peek into our growing inventory! Be prepared, it's a lot white, but I'm working on adding more colorful pieces into our collection as well. You can watch our inventory grow with one-of-a-kind treasures by following Blush Creek on Instagram! My plan is to spend the summer growing our collection and then start booking events in 2015. I would love to start booking sooner but I'm trying to be realistic with everything else I have going on and the two things that are more important than this business... being a wife and mommy!
